Alberta Hot Line Inc. (AHL), proud developers of the  Advanced Line Locator (ALL) Program, is currently seeking locators, locator assistants and survey technicians for full-time employment in the southern areas of Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba.

Position Description

  • Handle all aspect of locating and marking buried facilities
  • Utilize GPS to re-stake survey plans and capture new information
  • Follow company and industry best practices
  • Map all locates
  • Maintain all applicable paperwork including billing and time sheets
  • Maintain vehicle maintenance and cleanliness
  • Maintain locating and surveying equipment
  • Oversee helper in daily duties


  • Valid Driver's License
  • Safety Certification
  • Willingness to learn computer skills
  • Ability to multitask
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Completion of Survey Technician, Civil Technician, and/or Line Locator courses an asset

Alberta Hot Line is a Certified Corporate Member of the Canadian Association of Underground Pipeline and Utility Locating Contractors (CAPULC) and is active on its Board of Directors and board committees. We are also a member of the Common Ground Alliance (CGA), Alberta Common Ground Alliance (ABCGA), Saskatchewan Common Ground Alliance (SCGA), and the National Utility Locating Contractors Association (NULCA).
